The Three Rules of Continuity

180 Rule
This is used when Batman is interrogating the Joker. However, the 180 rule is not kept to as the camera moves over the 180 line. But in this instance it is used to good effect. It assists in creating suspense and the crazy and, somewhat, instability of the Joker character.

Match On Action
This is used when Batman begins a fight with the Joker. You see the Batman going to punch the Joker, then you see the Joker getting punched from the other characters view.

Shot - Reverse Shot
This is when over the shoulder shots are used in conversations. This shot is also used in the conversation scene, mixed in with the 180 rule. This shows the view from each character simultaneously.

You have successfully identified examples of the three principles of continuity. However you also need to include a clear explanation of each principle and why it is important.
